Sruthi Hariharan, an Indian actress and producer predominantly known for her work in Kannada cinema, has left an indelible mark with her versatile performances. Born on February 2, 1989, in Trivandrum, Kerala, she hails from a Tamil Brahmin family but was raised in Bangalore, Karnataka. Her multilingual proficiency includes Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Tamil, the latter being her mother tongue. She possesses a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Christ University and is also skilled in Bharatanatyam and contemporary dance forms.

Her journey into the world of cultural activities commenced during her time at Christ College, where she immersed herself in theatre productions. Her involvement expanded when she joined Imraan Sardariya's dance troupe, eventually leading her to the Kannada film industry. Initially, she worked as an assistant choreographer and background dancer, contributing to numerous songs for about three years.

Sruthi Hariharan's acting career commenced with a Malayalam film, "Cinema Company." She then transitioned into Kannada cinema, gaining widespread recognition for her portrayal in "Lucia," a film directed by Pawan Kumar. Her performance, depicting dual characters, garnered critical acclaim, marking her as a notable talent in the industry. "Lucia" received accolades and was later remade in various Indian languages.

Her filmography boasts diverse roles, showcasing her talent and range as an actress. She appeared in movies like "Savaari 2," "Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe," "Rhaate," "Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu," "Urvi," "Beautiful Manasugalu," "Happy New Year," "Tarak," "Vismaya," "Maadha Mathu Manasi," and "Solo," among others, spanning across Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema.

Despite her successful career, Sruthi Hariharan faced a challenging controversy. In 2018, she accused actor Arjun Sarja of sexual misconduct during the filming of "Vismaya" and filed a sexual harassment case against him. This led to a legal battle involving defamation accusations and adversely impacted her career opportunities.

On a personal note, Sruthi Hariharan married Raam Kumar, a martial artist and trainer, in 2017, and they are blessed with a daughter.

Her contributions to cinema, particularly in Kannada films, have been widely appreciated. Sruthi Hariharan continues to be acknowledged for her talent and dedication to her craft, despite facing hurdles in her professional journey.
