Bigg Boss: Dil, Dimaag aur Dum Ka Game, also known as Bigg Boss 17, stormed onto the Indian television screens on October 15, 2023, marking the commencement of another captivating season of the renowned reality TV show. Hosted by the charismatic Salman Khan for the fourteenth consecutive time, the show premiered on Colors TV and JioCinema, promising an exhilarating blend of emotions, intellect, and strength among its contestants.

The production of this season introduced a fresh segment titled "Just Chill with Arbaaz & Sohail," airing on Sundays and hosted by Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. The iconic "Weekend Ka Vaar" continues to air on Fridays and Saturdays, following the format of the previous season. However, evictions now take place on Saturdays instead of Sundays, with exceptions in Week 1, Week 4, and Week 7, when the schedule slightly deviates due to special hosting appearances or changes in Salman Khan's availability. Karan Johar took over hosting duties for Weekend Ka Vaar in Week 7, adding his unique touch to the show.

The central concept of Bigg Boss 17 revolves around "Dil" (Heart), "Dimaag" (Mind), and "Dum" (Strength). The Confession Room stands out with its Greek-Gothic style. This season boasts the highest camera count of 110, capturing every moment and conversation within the house.

The promotional campaign leading up to the premiere showcased Salman Khan highlighting the three new themes of the season: Dil (Heart; love), Dimaag (Mind; wit), and Dum (Power; fierceness). ColorsTV released teaser videos featuring glimpses of these themes, generating anticipation and excitement among the audience before the show's premiere.
