Deepa Sannidhi

Deepa Sannidhi, born as Rahasya on October 17, 1990, in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, is an Indian actress predominantly known for her work in Kannada cinema. Her career began in 2011 with a notable debut, and she has since earned acclaim for her performances in various films.

Early Life and Education

Deepa Sannidhi grew up in Chikkamagaluru and completed her schooling in Bangalore. She pursued higher education at St. Aloysius College in Mangalore. Initially enrolled in Agriculture Engineering, Deepa dropped out to focus on her acting career after receiving a film offer. She also has experience in modeling and completed a one-year course in jewelry designing. In parallel with her acting career, she pursued a degree in English Literature through distant education.

Career

2011–2012: Debut and Early Success

Deepa Sannidhi made her film debut with the 2011 Kannada film Saarathi, where she played the lead role of Rukmini. Her performance was well-received, and she won the Suvarna Award for Best Female Debut and the Bangalore Times Film Award for Most Promising Actress. Following the success of Saarathi, she appeared in Paramathma, another successful Kannada film directed by Yogaraj Bhat, which was released shortly after Saarathi. The role further established her as a rising star in the Kannada film industry. She was named the Promising Newcomer Female for both films at The Bangalore Times Film Awards 2011.

In 2012, Deepa featured in Jaanu, directed by Preetham Gubbi. Her performance was praised, with Rediff highlighting that the film was "Deepa Sannidhi's film all the way."

2013–2014: Expanding Horizons

In 2013, Deepa appeared in Sakkare as Neha, continuing to build her presence in the Kannada film industry. The following year, she played the role of Soumya in Endendu Ninagagi. She described the role as challenging and different from her own personality, but she enjoyed the experience.

2015–2017: Tamil Film Debut and Further Work

Deepa made her Tamil film debut with Enakkul Oruvan in 2015, a remake of the Kannada film Lucia. Her portrayal of Divya earned her a nomination for SIIMA Best Debut Actress. She also starred in Yatchan, directed by Vishnuvardhan.

In 2017, she appeared in Chowka and Chakravarthy. Her roles in these films were well-received, showcasing her versatility.
