Introduction

Su From So is not just another regional film — it’s a cinematic breath of fresh air. Blending elements of quirky humor, supernatural mystery, and grounded social commentary, the movie marks the directorial debut of J. P. Thuminad, who also plays a central role. Produced by Lighter Buddha Films and backed by Raj B. Shetty, this coastal comedy has taken Karnataka by storm.

From its unique village setting in Marlur, tied to the historic Someshwara, to a hauntingly hilarious tale of possession and gossip, Su From So has sparked curiosity and praise alike.

Plot Summary: Ghosts, Gags, and Gossip

In the peaceful village of Marlur, everything changes when a seemingly innocent crush spirals into chaos. Ashoka, a carefree young man, becomes the center of attention after villagers believe he is possessed by a spirit named Sulochana.

What follows is a chain reaction of absurd situations, old wives' tales, and laugh-out-loud moments as the villagers rally to “exorcise” the ghost — revealing more about themselves than any supernatural force ever could.

The title Su From So is a cheeky nod to Sulochana from Someshwara, tying the ghost story back to its roots.
