Amruta Khanvilkar Malhotra, born on November 23, 1984, is an accomplished Indian actress and producer working predominantly in Marathi and Hindi cinema. Regarded as one of the highest-paid actresses in the Marathi film industry, her career spans over a diverse array of films and television shows, showcasing her versatility and talent.

Her journey into the world of entertainment commenced as a contestant on India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj in 2004. Following this, she made a striking debut in Marathi cinema with "Golmaal" in 2006, and in Hindi cinema with "Mumbai Salsa" in 2007. Her remarkable performances in movies like "Saade Maade Teen" and "Phoonk" garnered commercial success and critical acclaim.

However, it was in 2010 that she shot to widespread fame and recognition with her captivating Lavani dance performance in the song "Wajale Ki Bara" from the Marathi film "Natarang." Her enthralling portrayal in this song became immensely popular, winning her appreciation from audiences across Maharashtra.

Amruta Khanvilkar's career soared with impactful roles in various films including "Shala" (2011), "Arjun" (2011), and "Zhakaas" (2011). Her portrayal of Paranajpe Bai in "Shala" was praised, but she felt the character deserved more lines to showcase her talent. In subsequent years, she continued to impress with her performances in movies like "Satrangi Re" and "Aayna Ka Bayna," earning accolades for her versatility and emotion-filled portrayals.

In her personal life, Amruta Khanvilkar was born into a Marathi family in Mumbai. Her family later relocated to Pune, where she completed her schooling and graduated from Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of Commerce.
