Nimisha Sajayan


Nimisha Sajayan is a versatile Indian actress known for her work in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. Born in Mumbai to parents originally from Kollam district, Kerala, Nimisha attended Carmel Convent School and later graduated from KJ Somaiya College, Mumbai.

Her acting journey commenced with the film "Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum," directed by Dileesh Pothan. Nimisha garnered attention for her performance in various movies, notably portraying the lead role in "Eeda," helmed by editor B. Ajithk and Rajeev Ravi. Her exceptional acting prowess was recognized when she received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress in 2019 for her roles in "Oru Kuprasidha Payyan" directed by Madhupal and "Chola" directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. The latter film, "Chola," was premiered at several international film festivals.

In 2021, Nimisha made a significant impact with her role in "The Great Indian Kitchen," a film that received critical acclaim, including praise for her performance. The same year, she appeared in lead roles in movies like "Nayattu" and "Malik." Continuing her stride in the industry, in 2022, she starred in films such as "Oru Thekkan Thallu Case," "Innale Vare," and "Heaven." Nimisha's upcoming projects include "Thuramukham" and "Chera."

While she made her Tamil debut with A.L Vijay's "Mission: Chapter 1 - Achcham Enbathu Illaiyae," her first Tamil release was "Chithha" in 2023. Nimisha Sajayan has exhibited her versatility and talent across various roles, earning accolades for her performances in both Malayalam and Tamil cinema.
